Murder at the Grange

Robb Johnson and his Irregulars present
A Festive Whodunnit
Performed in the style of a BBC radio drama
With songs, music, suspense and comedy

"We managed to catch "Murder at The Grange" yesterday in Guidford. Loved it. Well paced, well acted, loved the songs and the ending was far superior to "The Mousetrap" so I won't divulge that to anyone either. Well done to all involved. A delightful evening in the theatre." - David Leddy, Electric Theatre, Guildford - 2023

"A tunefully festive whodunnit punctuated by Robb Johnson's smart, funny and earwormy songs all performed to perfection by a talented cast of actor-musicians." - Electric Theatre, Guildford - 2023

A dead man in a locked room in a house full of secrets on Christmas morning.
Everybody has a motive.
But who has the key?

"A cracker of a show... a delightful extravaganza and a uniquely dark and different wat to celebrate the winter season. The on-stage chemistry between the artists was a joy to behold, they were obviously having as much fun as the audience, who responded rapturously." - David Pratt - Folk Radio

"It was a brilliant night. What a lovely early Christmas present." - Audience member.

"The story line was hilarious, set to up-beat Christmas music. A brilliant night out, highly recommended." - BBC Radio Sussex Murder cast

Robb Johnson is widely recognised as one of the UK’s finest songwriters.  “An English original”, (Robin Denselow, The Guardian) ... “one of our best singer-songwriters ever” (Mike Harding). He gigs in the UK, Belgium, Germany & the USA, & his songs are covered by many singers, from folk legend Roy Bailey to acclaimed cabaret diva Barb Jungr, & he enjoys a similarly diverse spectrum of critical acclaim – “a modern-day Dostoyevsky” said the US’s Dirty Linen, Mojo made the double CD Gentle Men Folk Album Of The Month, while The Daily Telegraph made Robb their Folk Album Of 1998, & Tony Benn said Johnson’s “Winter Turns To Spring” was his favourite song.
